Tatiana Kunik began her studies in Tallinn, Estonia, before attending the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano performance, pedagogy and collaborative performance. During her studies she was a laureate of several competitions and festivals. She then attended Tallinn State Conservatory, winning awards locally and in competitions between the three Baltic Republics (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania). During this time Ms. Kunik began teaching privately, while also giving lectures on the history of piano.

 

She moved to the United States in 1991, where she expanded her private teaching studio, first in Boston and the surrounding area and then in Stamford, CT. She has worked for several private studios and the Neighborhood School of Music, and in 2000 established her own private studio. Many of her students have won prizes at various festivals and competitions, and have been invited to perform in Carnegie Hall in New York and in Salzburg, Austria. In 2015 and 2016 Ms. Kunik was awarded with a diploma of recognition from the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition.  In addition to her teaching background, Tatiana also performs recitals and accompanies singers and instrumentalists.
