Sining Liu earned her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Manhattan School of Music in classical piano performance. She is currently a Doctorate of Musical Arts Candidate in Manhattan School of Music, under the guidance of Solomon Mikowsky. Her previous study was with Huili Li at Gulangyu Piano Academy, China. She has also worked with Anne- Marie McDermott, Robert McDonald, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Thomas Ungar, Guangren Zhou, among many other renown pianists and educators.
Sining Liu has won the third prize in the Munz Competition in Manhattan School of Music, the first prize in the Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition, the third prize in the X International Vladimir Krainev Competition for Young Pianists, among others. In 2018, she was invited by her professor, Solomon Mikowsky, to perform in the International Piano Festivals in Cuba. She has also been actively performing.
Her New York City’s performance venues include Merkin Concert Hall in Kaufman Music Center, Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center. She has also performed in countries such as China, Spain, Ukraine, and Cuba. Her collaborations with orchestras include Kharkov Youth Orchestra, Taoyuan Orchestra of Young Musicians, Cuba ISA Orchestra, Guangxi Philharmonic Orchestra, and MSM Philharmonic Orchestra.
