Pranvera Cobo  has been a musicologist and teacher for over 30 years. Born in Shkodra, Albania, Mrs. Cobo began playing piano and violin at the age of 6 and the classical guitar at the age of 10. During her childhood, she got awarded as best guitarist representing her country at the Preveza Balkan Festival in Greece at 17. During her time in Albanian, she was an active musician in various ensembles, including the Shkodra Symphony Orchestra. To advance her studies, she won a merit scholarship to join the University of Arts in Tirana. She started her teaching career right after she graduated from the University of Arts in Tirana, Albania. She worked at the Artistic Lyceum of Tirana Jordan Misja" giving young musicians the fundamentals of music theory, harmony, form analysis, and folk studies. 

Mrs. Cobo came to the USA in 2000, and in 2008, she earned her Master's Degree in Music Education from Lehman College University of New York. She has been a performer at Lehman Symphony Orchestra, Yonkers Young Chamber Music Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra and Opera of Albania in Tirana, RTV Albanian Variety Show Orchestra, and Albanian -American Professional Musicians.

During her 30-year career, Mrs. Cobo founded and directed the Albanian Annual Children's Song Contest' New Voices" 2013-2017, a singing competition where children from 6 states came to New York to show their talent and passion.

Mrs. Cobo has been using various methods for music theory as part of her methodology, from A.Pozzoli Solfeggio Method of Milano Conservatory of Music to Dannhauser Solfege des Solfège's. She has been a director and private teacher of Cobo Music Studio since 2005, serving Westchester County families. Some of her talented students pursue their careers in piano performance and conducting as part of their professional careers. Her passion, talent, and dedication to teaching are credited to her jazz and classical guitar students, winner of high scores on NYSSMA and other national and international competitions such as AFAF -American Fine Arts Festival, Golden Key Music Festival, and Pelham Music Festival. Her students have performed at Merkin Kaufman Music Center and Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center as winners of these competitions.

Growing up with music in her heart Mrs. Cobo has been performing and dedicating her passion to playing and teaching all music genres. Beyond the musicianship skills, her goal is to help students achieve their love of every note and every piece they play.
